October 2015 Storm Recovery Program

Construction for the October 2015 Storm Recovery Program was completed in 2021 and no new applications will be accepted. This Program was intended to repair or reconstruct Single-Family Housing and Single-Family Rental units affected by the October 5, 2015 flood and rain event that still had unserved damage.

This program was specifically designed to assist the extremely low, very low and low income South Carolinian’s who require assistance in the repair, replacement, or reconstruction of their homes damaged by the October 2015 Storm.

The program served approximately 1829 low income homeowners with the priority of assistance focused on the extremely low income, elderly, disabled, and families with children 5 years old or younger in the household.

This Program provided housing assistance to the citizens of the following 22 counties:
